Remnant Archive is a new project split into two parts, produced over the summer of 2024/25. Part one consists of eighteen collaged works on paper. The second part is a hand painted and hand cut fan deck comprising 65 individual colours. The project utilises left over, pre-mixed paint that has been stored in my studio – some for over fifteen years. These paints were previously used to produce three projects - Disney Colour Project 2009/10, Tamiya Color Chart 2017 and more recently, Dr No (after Maurice Binder) 2020-2022.

Remnant Archive is a catalogue of colours that document my own history of art making. It could be described as an autobiography of colour. This project amalgamates all the remaining usable paints from all three earlier projects.

Curated by David Sequeira, this exhibition draws attention to the functionality of colour. Referencing colour charts and the process of colour sampling, the paintings, video, sculpture, prints and collages can be considered as systematic arrangements of colour that allude to an infinite range of possibilities.
