RAGTIME (DECONSTRUCTED) 2020

The first two images below show Recorder in Ragtime, (a 7” record cover designed by Clement Meadmore in the mid 1950s) deconstructed, with all text and pictorial images removed. This work was exhibited in my exhibition titled In Stereo  at GAG Projects in Adelaide in 2017 (the work was not for sale and remains in my archive). During lockdown (after making the Meadmore Deconstruction Project) this work evolved, completely by chance, into a small cardboard puzzle (images three and four). The final three images show how this work continued to develop during lockdown with the puzzle pieces rearranged and reconstructed into a small sculptural maquette.
